Two women Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, specifically in the Maoist stronghold of Abujmad. An INSAS rifle and other items were recovered. The exchange of fire followed a tip-off about Maoist presence. Currently, DRG Narayanpur, Kondagaon, and STF are conducting operations in the area.

Chhattisgarh has seen intensified encounters recently, with hundreds of Maoists killed. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed to eliminate Maoists by March next year, and the Centre is advancing strategically toward that goal, with several top Maoist leaders already neutralized.
