Heavy rainfall triggered a cloudburst in Chamoli’s Tharali, forcing locals to evacuate. A 20-year-old woman is feared buried under debris, and one man is missing. Several houses, including the SDM residence, were severely damaged.

Roads are blocked, causing commuter difficulties. NDRF and SDRF teams are conducting rescue operations, while relief camps have been set up. Chamoli officials are actively managing relief efforts.
