Vadodara Crash: Accused Driver Was on Marijuana, Not Alcohol

Rakshit Chaurasia, a 23-year-old law student, was under the influence of marijuana when he crashed a car in Vadodara on March 12, killing a woman and injuring eight. Forensic reports confirmed drug use by him and his co-passengers. One has been arrested; another is absconding.

Chaurasia, in jail, faces charges under the NDPS Act, Motor Vehicles Act, and for culpable homicide. He claimed a pothole triggered the crash and admitted fault, expressing a wish to meet the victims' families.
