Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Actor and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has officially filed his nomination from the Tiruchirappalli East Assembly constituency for the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections. Along with his nomination, Vijay submitted an affidavit disclosing comprehensive details of his assets, liabilities, and financial interests.

According to the affidavit, Vijay’s total immovable assets are valued at approximately ?603.20 crore. His movable assets stand at ?404.58 crore, reflecting substantial wealth accumulated through his acting career and other income sources.

The actor owns a range of luxury vehicles, including a BMW 530, BMW i7, Lexus 350, and Toyota Vellfire, along with several high-end motorcycles. His real estate portfolio includes agricultural land in Kodaikanal and multiple commercial and residential properties in and around Chennai, collectively valued at ?198.62 crore.

The affidavit also mentions ongoing property disputes. A property worth ?1.5 crore from the financial year 2015–16 remains under consideration with the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals) and the High Court. Additionally, another dispute involving ?14.13 lakh for the financial year 2022–23 is pending.

Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, holds assets worth ?15.76 crore, including movable assets valued at ?15.51 crore and immovable assets worth ?25 lakh.

In terms of liquid assets, Vijay has ?2 lakh in cash and approximately ?213 crore deposited in various bank accounts. He also owns 883 grams of gold ornaments and silver articles valued at ?15 lakh.

Notably, Vijay has declared that he has no outstanding debts. His affidavit further details several financial transactions and contributions, including donations to family members and associates. His income sources include earnings from acting, interest income, and rental income from his properties.
