South Goa, Goa, India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the 550th anniversary celebrations of Shri Sansthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Mutt in South Goa today. As part of the event, he will unveil a 77-foot-tall bronze statue of Lord Shri Ram this evening. The statue, crafted by renowned sculptor Ram Sutar—who also designed the Statue of Unity—is situated on the banks of the Talpona River.

The installation of this statue coincides with the 550th anniversary of the Mutt’s establishment. Goa Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will also be present to mark the occasion. According to the organizing committee, more than 15,000 devotees from across India are expected to participate in the celebrations.

Goa is no longer going to be the land of sea and beaches. it's now going to be known for having Asia's tallest Bhagwan Shri Ram's statue !!
