Blue Cloud Softtech Ventures into Semiconductor Technology

Hyderabad, Telangana, India: Blue Cloud Softtech Solutions Limited (BCSSL), headquartered in Hyderabad, has officially announced its entry into the semiconductor industry. The company has entered into a strategic technology transfer agreement with an Israeli firm, marking a significant step in its expansion plans.

As part of the deal, the Israeli partner will provide BCSSL with advanced technology for developing Edge-AI chip hardware and semiconductor design capabilities. In exchange for this technology ownership, BCSSL will pay approximately USD 150 million (around ₹1,330 crore) to the Israeli company.

These Edge-AI chips and semiconductors, designed for Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) applications, are widely utilized in industrial automation and smart systems.

Speaking on the development, BCSSL Chairman Janaki Yarlagadda highlighted that this collaboration represents a major stride toward achieving India’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) in the semiconductor sector.
