Henceforth there is no need to attend a driving test at the RTO office for a driving license. Private organizations can also conduct driving tests and issue certificates. To this extent, the central government has issued new regulations.  These rules will come into effect from June 1.

If all the facilities are there

A private driving training center must have an area of 3 acres to conduct the four-wheeler test.  There should be all necessary facilities to examine as per the norms. Trainers must have completed high school education and must have five years of driving experience.

They should have basic knowledge of biometrics and IT. According to the rules, the government will give the authority to conduct the driving test to the private companies that have all these qualifications.

Driving training

There are also some rules to be followed regarding the time limit for learning to drive.  Light vehicle training should be done for exactly four weeks with a minimum of 29 hours of training. It consists of eight hours of theory and 21 hours of practice. A minimum of 39 hours of training should be given for six weeks for driving heavy motor vehicles. Eight hours of theory and 31 hours of practical classes have to be conducted.
