The Realme 16 5G is said to be under development as the next-generation model following the Realme 15 5G, which made its debut in July 2025. Although the brand has not officially acknowledged the device, an alleged retailer listing has surfaced online, offering insight into its major hardware details and suggesting that the phone could be launched soon in selected regions. Based on the listing, the Realme 16 5G is expected to feature a 6.57-inch AMOLED display and operate on Android 16-based software.

According to information shared by a Vietnamese retailer and reported via Gizmochina, the Realme 16 5G is listed with a 6.57-inch full HD Plus AMOLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by AGC DT-Star D Plus glass, which is designed to offer improved resistance against scratches and accidental drops. The device is also shown to carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for dust and water protection.

The leaked listing suggests that the handset may include a dual rear camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor paired with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. On the front, the phone is expected to house a 50-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Video recording capabilities may be limited to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

Powering the Realme 16 5G could be the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device is also believed to support expandable storage through a microSD card slot. Software-wise, the smartphone is said to run Android 16-based firmware out of the box.

In terms of connectivity, the phone may offer support for dual SIM functionality, 5G and 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, NFC, OTG, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. The listing further claims that the Realme 16 5G will be equipped with a large 7,000mAh battery along with 60W wired fast charging support. The handset is reportedly available in black and white color options, measures approximately 158.3 x 75.13 x 8.1mm, and weighs around 183 grams.
