Delhi Capitals faced a setback ahead of the third T20 against New Zealand with star opener David Warner sidelined due to injury. Warner, currently grappling with a hip injury, also missed the second T20 in this series. Cricket Australia issued a statement addressing the situation.

"Warner is not yet fully fit; he requires some time for recovery. However, he will certainly be available for the Indian Premier League and T20 IPL 2024," stated Cricket Australia. Warner showcased an impressive performance in the first T20 against New Zealand, scoring 32 runs in just 20 balls.

It is worth noting that Warner represents Delhi Capitals in the IPL. During the previous season, David Warner led the Delhi team in the absence of Rishabh Pant.
