Benefits of the Orunodoi Scheme
Monthly Financial Assistance: ₹1,250 is directly deposited into the bank account of the designated woman in the family.
Health and Basic Needs Support: The scheme is designed to help women manage expenses related to health, nutrition, and basic necessities.
Medicinal Subsidy: ₹400 per month is allocated specifically for medical expenses, and there is a 50% discount on essential food items such as pulses and sugar.
Additional Support: ₹150 is provided each month for buying fruits and vegetables.
Eligibility Criteri
To qualify for the Orunodoi scheme, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Assam and currently residing in the state.
- Income: The family’s annual income should be under ₹2 lakh.
- Priority Groups: Preference is given to widows, divorced women, unmarried women over 45, separated women, persons with disabilities, destitute individuals, and families without shelter.
Exclusions: Families with more than 15 bighas of land, those with members who are income taxpayers, professionals (such as doctors, engineers, architects, and lawyers), government employees, or families owning assets like tractors, refrigerators, or cars are not eligible.
Application Process
- Online Application: Visit the official Orunodoi website (www.orunodoi.in) to download the application form.
- Form Completion: Fill out the form with personal information, including age, income, Aadhaar number, and household details.
- Required Documents: Attach a passport-size photograph, identity card, Aadhaar card, bank passbook, income certificate, and ration card.
- Submission: Submit the completed form to the Orunodoi Sahayak (assistant) in your area.
The Orunodoi scheme is aimed at empowering women and enhancing financial inclusion for underserved communities in Assam.
