Cyclone Dana to Bring Heavy Rains, Strong Winds, and Major Train Cancellations
Cyclone Dana is set to make landfall tomorrow between Odisha's Puri and West Bengal's Sagar Island.
Winds may reach speeds of 140-160 km/h during the cyclone's impact.
Heavy rains are already occurring in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to the cyclone.
From today until the 25th, heavy rains are expected in North Andhra, Odisha, and West Bengal.
An "Yellow Warning" has been issued in Odisha's coastal districts, with evacuations underway.
West Bengal is also on high alert, expecting heavy rains in districts like Kolkata, Howrah, and Hooghly.
In North Andhra, heavy rains are expected from tomorrow to the 26th.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
Due to the cyclone, 41 trains have been canceled for three days, including routes like Secunderabad-Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad-Howrah.
A total of 198 train services have been canceled by East Coast Railway on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th.
