Elon Musk's Controversial Post on Trump Assassination Attempts Sparks Backlash

Elon Musk's Controversial Post on Trump

Elon Musk's controversial social media post questioning why Biden and Harris haven't faced assassination attempts sparked backlash. The White House condemned his remarks as irresponsible.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has stirred controversy with a social media post questioning why former President Donald Trump has faced two assassination attempts while President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have not. Musk, who is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, later deleted the post, claiming it was intended as a joke.

The post, which suggested no attempts had been made on Biden or Harris, faced immediate backlash. The White House condemned the remarks as "irresponsible" and emphasized that violence should be condemned, not joked about. The Secret Service has acknowledged the post and is aware of the situation.

The latest assassination attempt involved a man trying to attack Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, coming shortly after a previous incident where a sniper's bullet grazed Trump’s ear in Pennsylvania. Musk’s comments were met with criticism, leading him to clarify that the joke did not translate well in text without proper context.
