Thalapathy Vijay Divorce Case: Wife Sangeetha Files for Alimony and House Rights

Sangeetha Seeks Alimony and Neelankarai House Rights

In a significant development involving Tamil superstar and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Thalapathy Vijay, his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam has reportedly approached the Chengalpattu court seeking a divorce along with permanent alimony and residential rights to their property in Neelankarai, Chennai.

According to legal sources, the petition requests financial support as part of the divorce settlement and also seeks permission for Sangeetha to continue residing in the couple’s Neelankarai house. The couple has been married for more than 25 years and share two children.

The legal move has generated widespread attention across both Tamil cinema and political circles, as Vijay recently entered active politics through his party TVK. Reports circulating in media and social platforms also speculate that the alimony settlement could involve a significant financial amount, possibly running into hundreds of crores, although official confirmation is yet to be made.

Neither Vijay nor his representatives have issued a formal statement regarding the reports so far. As the case proceeds through the Chengalpattu court, further developments are expected to clarify the details surrounding the petition and any potential settlement.
