CBI investigation Kolkata rape-murder case

The CBI, seeking to ensure no details are overlooked, will consult AIIMS experts for a final review. The investigation has not found evidence suggesting the involvement of any other individuals. Despite family suspicions of gang rape, TMC MP Mahua Moitra clarified on X that there was no gang rape, no fractures, and the autopsy was video-recorded. She confirmed the killer was apprehended within 12 hours, and the CBI is handling the case.

Polygraph tests on Roy and other individuals, including ex-principal Sandip Ghosh, yielded no leads on other suspects. Roy’s polygraph confirmed he acted alone in the crime.

Further, investigations revealed that Roy solicited sex from women before the crime, visiting red-light areas and contacting known individuals. This, along with his mobile records and location data, supports the current evidence against him.
