Kuppam, Chittoor District, AP: The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has approved the establishment of a world-class dairy nutrition processing plant in Kuppam with an investment of Rs 786.15 crore. The project is expected to generate employment for approximately 1,000 people.

The proposed unit will be set up by ACE International Limited, a company with over 35 years of experience in Uttar Pradesh and a daily milk processing capacity of five lakh litres. The approval was granted during the latest SIPB meeting, which cleared multiple industrial proposals amounting to Rs 29,018 crore across Andhra Pradesh.

The upcoming facility in Kuppam will introduce advanced dairy nutrition processing technology to the Asian market. The plant aims to ensure high standards in product quality, nutritional value, and food safety. In addition to conventional dairy products, the unit will manufacture specialized nutritional formulations beneficial for infants, children, athletes, and adults.

Products to be manufactured include infant nutrition ingredients, sports and medical nutrition products, whey protein, milk powder, ghee, butter fat, fortified functional powders, and formulations enriched with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. These products will cater to major domestic and global food and nutrition companies.

Kuppam was selected due to its agricultural strength and favorable logistics infrastructure. The company currently exports to Bangladesh and the Philippines and has plans to expand into South Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

The project is expected to strengthen the dairy processing ecosystem in the region while enhancing industrial growth and employment opportunities in Chittoor district.
