IISER scientist Mohali death
IISER scientist Abhishek Swarnkar, a kidney transplant recipient on dialysis, died after an alleged assault by his Mohali neighbor, Monty, during a parking dispute. Swarnkar, originally from West Bengal, lived with his elderly parents. The incident, captured on CCTV, led his family to file a police complaint. An autopsy is scheduled, and legal action will follow. IISER mourned his loss, calling him a brilliant mind and demanding strict action against the accused.
