NTR audiobook launch
The book “1984 Conservation Movement: Living History” is soon set to be released as an audiobook. This audio edition is being produced under the direction of the NTR Literature Committee and will officially be launched on the 13th of this month by Purandareshwari.
The original book, written by Vikram Poola, was first unveiled on September 6 in Vijayawada. The launch event was attended by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy, and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu. Now, preparations are underway to bring the book to the audience in audio format.
Given the historical value of “1984: Conservation Movement – Living History,” the committee believes the audiobook will help the story reach a larger Telugu-speaking audience worldwide. Committee Chairman T.D. Janardhan stated that the narration has been done by popular anchor Gayathri. A teaser of the audiobook was unveiled by Nandamuri Ramakrishna, son of NTR.
Speaking on the occasion, Janardhan recalled that in August 1984, when NTR was recovering from heart surgery, the central leadership removed him from the Chief Minister's post. With the support of non-Congress leaders and the people of Andhra Pradesh, NTR waged a major democratic battle and reclaimed his position, creating history. The audiobook “Sajeeva Charitra,” which recounts these significant events, will be released by NTR’s daughter and Rajahmundry MP Purandareshwari on December 13, 2025.
Author Vikram Poola, committee members Ram Mohan Rao, Prof. Venkat, Parvathaneni Rambabu, Mandava Sathish, Bikki Krishna, along with audiobook supervisors Ashok Kumar and Santosh Kumar, coordinator Vijay Bhaskar, and several others took part in the event.
