New Delhi, Delhi, India: Pongal festivities took place at the residence of Union Minister Murugan, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended as the chief guest. On the occasion, he extended his warm wishes to the Tamil community.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday conveyed his greetings to the Tamil people on the occasion of Pongal. The festival was celebrated at the home of Union Minister Murugan, with the Prime Minister attending the event as the chief guest. As part of the celebrations, the Prime Minister performed a special prayer ritual and later personally prepared the traditional Pongal dish.

During the event, Prime Minister Modi also offered prayers to the cows. Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Ram Mohan Naidu, along with former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, were present at the celebrations. Meanwhile, Pongal is being observed across the country with grand enthusiasm, as people celebrate the harvest festival by preparing traditional dishes and decorating their homes.
