Thalapathy Vijay to Contest as CM Candidate in 2026
Actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay will contest as Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam’s (TVK) chief ministerial candidate in the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections. TVK will contest alone, with no alliance with BJP, DMK, or AIADMK.
Vijay, who launched TVK in February 2024, plans a state-wide tour from September to December. Political strategist Prashant Kishor is reportedly advising the party as public expectations grow.
