Train Collision in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur Leaves Several

Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India: A tragic train accident occurred in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district on Tuesday, resulting in multiple fatalities. The collision happened around 4 p.m. near the Lal Khadan area, where a MEMU passenger train and a goods train crashed into each other.

The impact caused several coaches to derail, severely affecting rail traffic on the Bilaspur–Howrah route. Train services were halted, with several scheduled operations either cancelled or diverted. The collision also damaged electrical lines and signaling systems along the track.

Rescue teams and railway officials promptly reached the site to begin relief operations. Medical teams were deployed to provide emergency assistance to the injured, while efforts are underway to clear the derailed coaches and restore normal services.
