Out of this total, BMW models accounted for 17,271 units, while MINI contributed 730 units. The strong sales momentum was largely fueled by the rising demand for SUVs across the Indian market.
This achievement marks the fourth straight year of double-digit growth for BMW in India. During the October to December period alone, BMW sold 6,023 vehicles, its highest quarterly sales figure to date, reflecting a year-on-year growth of over 17 percent.
SUVs continued to be the backbone of BMWs success, with models like the BMW X1 and BMW X5 witnessing strong customer demand. The companys SUV range recorded a 22 percent year-on-year rise, with 10,748 units sold. SUVs accounted for 60 percent of BMWs total car sales, and the BMW X1 emerged as the brands top-selling model in 2025.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said that sales growth was visible across all segments, including internal combustion vehicles, electric cars, sports activity vehicles, sedans, and long wheelbase models. He added that BMWs leadership in the luxury electric segment is not only advancing sustainable mobility but is also helping expand the overall luxury car market in India.
Throughout the year, BMW Group India strengthened its product portfolio by introducing 20 new models across its automobile and motorcycle lineup. Key launches included the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase, the new BMW X3, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, MINI JCW Countryman All4, and the MINI Convertible.
Electric vehicles stood out as a major contributor to BMWs growth story. EVs made up 21 percent of total BMW India sales, a significant jump from 8 percent in 2024. The BMW iX1 became the highest-selling electric vehicle not only for the brand but also across the premium EV segment in India.
BMW Motorrad also posted solid results, delivering 5,841 motorcycles during the year. The BMW G 310 RR emerged as the best-selling model, growing by over 24 percent. Demand for larger motorcycles, including the BMW S 1000 RR, 900 GS and GSA, and 1300 GS and GSA models, also showed notable improvement.
