Jubilee Hills By-Election Congress Wins Jubilee Hills Seat
Hyderabad, Telangana, India: Congress nominee Naveen Yadav secured a decisive victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election, prompting a sharp reaction from BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha.
Hyderabad, BRS leader Maganti Sunitha claimed that the Jubilee Hills bypoll was marred by intimidation and improper practices. Calling the process “undemocratic,” she alleged that the ruling party influenced voters and disrupted the fairness of the election.
She stated that Congress “undermined democratic values” and accused its leaders of manipulating the polling system to secure a win. Sunitha also criticised the Election Commission, saying it failed to conduct the election in a neutral manner. According to her, despite the official results, she considers herself the “moral victor.”
The Congress emerged successful in the Jubilee Hills constituency, with Naveen Yadav winning by 24,658 votes, maintaining a consistent lead through all rounds of counting. Meanwhile, the BJP failed to retain its deposit in this contest.
