Iran warns US tech companies Microsoft and Google over military ties
Iran issues a strong warning to the US, threatening attacks on major tech companies like Microsoft, Google, and Apple over alleged military support, escalating global tensions.
Tehran: Tensions between Iran and the United States appear to be escalating further, as Iran has issued a stern warning targeting major American technology and industrial companies.
According to reports from Iranian state media, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced potential retaliatory measures against key US-linked firms operating in the Gulf region. This development comes amid growing concerns over possible US military actions.
The IRGC reportedly identified at least 18 companies, including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Intel, IBM, Tesla, and Boeing, stating that their regional operations could become targets.
In an official statement, the IRGC declared that any acts perceived as aggression against Iran would be met with strong retaliation. The statement further alleged that these companies provide technological, artificial intelligence, and data support to US military operations and allied forces.
The warning specifically mentioned that beginning from 8:00 PM Tehran time on April 1, any hostile actions against Iran could result in direct consequences for these organizations' facilities in the region.
Additionally, employees working at the identified companies have reportedly been advised to vacate their offices immediately due to heightened security concerns.
The situation continues to develop, raising fears of a broader geopolitical conflict that could have significant implications for global markets, technology infrastructure, and regional stability.
