Eyewitnesses and locals assisted police and administrative officials in rescue operations. Speaking to ANI, a local resident stated that the large gathering due to Mahavir Jayanti and Tuesday rituals contributed to overcrowding, adding that barricades reportedly collapsed during the rush.
Another devotee claimed that access to the temple was restricted following the incident and alleged that crowd control measures were insufficient.
