Jersey City, New Jersey, USA:  A 27-year-old woman from Ummadivaram village in Vinukonda mandal of Andhra Pradesh's Palnadu district lost her life in a road accident in New Jersey, United States.

The deceased, Prasanna, was the eldest daughter of farmers Makkena Venkateswarlu and Govindamma. She moved to the United States in 2022 to pursue higher education and successfully completed her Master's degree. She had been staying in the country while searching for employment.

According to reports, Prasanna was travelling with three friends after attending a function when the vehicle they were in reportedly lost control and crashed into a tree. She died at the scene, while the other occupants sustained injuries.

The tragic news has left Prasanna's family devastated and cast a pall of grief over her native village.

After learning about the incident, Andhra Pradesh Government Chief Whip and Vinukonda MLA G.V. Anjaneyulu contacted the victim's father to express his condolences and gather details. He assured the family that he would coordinate with the concerned authorities to facilitate the early repatriation of Prasanna's mortal remains to India.

Meanwhile, the bereaved family has appealed to the government for immediate assistance in bringing her body back to her hometown.
