I-Bomma Website Manager Immadi Ravi
Hyderabad, Telangana, India: The manager linked to the I-Bomma platform, identified as Immadi Ravi, has been taken into custody by the CCS police in Kukatpally. Earlier, the person behind the iDoll website had publicly dared the police to trace and arrest him.
According to officials, Ravi flew into Hyderabad from France on Friday, and based on confidential information, the CCS team detained him soon after his arrival. Investigators revealed that he had been residing in the Caribbean islands while operating the iDoll website, a platform heavily involved in distributing pirated Telugu movies and OTT content. Film production companies had previously filed complaints over the online piracy, prompting the police to initiate a formal case and launch an investigation.
During the probe, the iDoll administrator reportedly issued a challenge to the authorities, claiming they would not be able to catch him. However, with the investigation intensifying, police arrested Ravi on Saturday. It has also been reported that he is separated from his wife and has been living alone.
Following the arrest, authorities froze bank deposits amounting to Rs 3 crore linked to his accounts. The police have accessed the servers to verify the pirated material and are preparing to present Ravi before the court.
