IIT Baba (Abhay Singh), who gained fame at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is once again in the news. After his prediction of India's defeat against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy failed miserably, he faced heavy trolling on social media. Now, he has been arrested by Jaipur police for consuming marijuana in a hotel but was later released on bail.

Jaipur police received information that IIT Baba was in a hotel and might have attempted suicide. Upon reaching the location, they found him intoxicated with marijuana. When questioned, he admitted to consuming it. He was arrested under the NDPS Act but later released on bail after confirming that the quantity consumed was minimal.

Police revealed that fans of IIT Baba had reported concerns about his suicide attempt. However, when questioned, he stated that he had taken marijuana for happiness on his birthday and might have made such statements under its influence. Police mentioned they might interrogate him again if necessary. After being released on bail, IIT Baba refused to comment on the issue and simply stated that he wanted to be happy on his birthday.
