Kamala Harris Sets Record with $2 Million Zoom Call

Kamala Harris set a new record with a Zoom call fundraiser attended by 164,000 people, raising ₹16 crores.

The event, titled "White Women: Answer the Call," garnered widespread support for Harris.

Notable attendees included singer Pink, actress Connie Britton, and comedian Carol Leifer.

Pink joined the call from her plane, and Carol Leifer announced a $500,000 donation, leading to a surge in contributions.

This Zoom call was the largest group call in Zoom history.

Previous Zoom fundraisers for Harris included 44,000 Black women raising $1.5 million and 50,000 Black men raising $1.3 million.

Kamala Harris is expected to be the Democratic Party candidate for the U.S. Presidential elections.

Following Joe Biden's withdrawal, Harris received significant donations, with $81 million raised in 24 hours.

The Democratic Party will officially nominate their candidate at a virtual event from August 1-7, followed by an official endorsement at the party conference in Chicago from August 19-22.
