Naxalites targeted a police vehicle with an IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Monday, killing several personnel. The explosion occurred on the Bedre-Kutru Road, and authorities are awaiting further details, according to IG Bastar P Sundarraj.

This incident follows the killing of five Naxalites in a recent encounter with security forces in Bastar. The crash took place in the south Abujhmaad forest along the Narayanpur-Dantewada border during an anti-Naxal operation on Saturday. Four Naxalites were initially found dead, with one more body recovered later. Dantewada DRG Head Constable Sannu Karam also lost his life in the operation.

Earlier, on Friday, three Naxalites were killed in an encounter in Gariaband district, where weapons were seized.
