PM Narendra Modi inaugurating Noida International Airport Jewar

New Delhi: Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu announced on Thursday that the Delhi-NCR region will gain its second international airport starting tomorrow. He confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will inaugurate the highly anticipated Noida International Airport in Jewar.

Expressing his enthusiasm, the minister stated that the launch marks a significant milestone for the region. He also extended his congratulations to the people of Uttar Pradesh and shared on X (formerly Twitter) that he would be present in Jewar for the inauguration ceremony.

The decision to develop a second international airport in the Delhi-NCR region comes amid rapidly increasing passenger traffic at Indira Gandhi International Airport. With air travel demand rising steadily across the country, authorities identified the need for additional infrastructure to ease congestion.

Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the newly constructed airport has been developed with advanced technology and modern facilities. Officials believe that the launch of Noida International Airport will significantly enhance India’s aviation capacity and strengthen overall airport infrastructure.

The inauguration is scheduled for March 28, marking a major step forward in regional connectivity and economic development.
