PM Modi Meets Mauritian PM Ramgoolam In Varanasi For Bilateral Talks

PM Modi met Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam in Varanasi on Thursday for bilateral talks. He received a warm welcome with flower petals and BJP flags lining the route.
Ramgoolam, on an eight-day India visit, will attend the Ganga Aarti, visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple, and see a cultural program highlighting historical ties.
This marks PM Modi’s first bilateral meeting with a head of state in Kashi, amid India’s efforts to strengthen neighborly relations. The city is secured with three-layer security and decorated with welcome banners.

Today, the Prime Minister will host the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, who is on a State Visit to India from 9–16 September 2025.
