Recently, South Central Railway has introduced the facility of booking regular railway tickets using QR code for its train passengers. As a part of this, initially as part of the first phase, these services were made available at 31 counters located in 14 stations in Secunderabad Division. The Railway Department has asked for this facility especially to promote digital transactions. Officials have taken steps to get a train ticket within seconds by scanning the QR code at the general booking counter.

Otherwise, the problem that will be faced at the time of taking the ticket is minor. Especially the authorities have taken proper precautions to check these retail problems. The railway department has started this service at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Begumpet, Manchiryala, Lingampally, Hi-Tech City, James Street, Mahabubabad, Bellampally, Fatehnagar Bridge, Sirpur Khagaj Nagar, Vikarabad station. Otherwise, the South Central Railway officials have informed that at present only the QR code related unreserved seats can be purchased at the general booking counters of the South Central Railway.
