TTD Chairman BR Naidu, along with EO J Syamala Rao, launched the issuance of darshan tokens for locals at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Monday, for Tuesday's Lord darshan. Seven counters in Mahati Auditorium and three in Balaji Nagar's community hall in Tirumala were set up for issuing tokens. A total of 2,500 tokens will be issued in Tirupati and 500 in Tirumala, with tokens available for residents of Tirupati Urban, Tirupati Rural, Chandragiri, Renigunta, and Tirumala, upon presenting an original Aadhaar card. Tokens will be distributed on the first Sunday of every month at both locations. Locals can avail of the next darshan only after 90 days.
