Barabanki Temple Stampede
Eight devotees died and 29 were injured in a stampede at a Barabanki temple in UP after panic over an electric shock. A wire fell due to monkeys jumping on it during a midnight ritual. The chaos led to a stampede among the large crowd. Most injuries were treated locally. A similar incident happened in Haridwar, killing eight.
