Ambience Mall Receives Bomb Threat

New Delhi: Several shopping malls received bomb threat emails on Tuesday, according to the Delhi police. The affected locations include Chanakya Mall, Select CityWalk, Ambience Mall, DLF, Cine Polis, Pacific Mall, Primus Hospital, and Unity group. The emails threatened that explosives would detonate in a few hours.

Upon receiving the threats, mall authorities immediately alerted the Delhi police, who swiftly began an investigation. The Bomb Disposal Squad and fire services were dispatched to the locations, but no explosives have been found thus far. The investigation is ongoing, with initial findings suggesting a pattern in the threats, as the emails lack specific datelines and have been sent to multiple locations.

On August 17, Ambience Mall in Gurugram also received a bomb threat, but a search revealed no suspicious items. Gurugram Police, including the bomb detection and disposal squad, dog squad, and SWAT team, conducted a thorough search after receiving the threat. The cyber teams are tracking the email sender, and legal action will be pursued against anyone spreading false bomb threat information. Earlier, on August 2, a similar threat was received by a school in Delhis Greater Kailash area, but nothing was found during the investigation.
