Ugadi AP Job Calendar 2026: DSC Posts Included, Big Relief for AP Aspirants

AP Govt to Release Ugadi Job Calendar 2026

Amaravati, AP, India: During the eighth day of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly session, significant announcements were made concerning the education sector and employment opportunities for youth across the state. Responding to questions raised during Question Hour, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh outlined key decisions regarding the much-anticipated job calendar and institutional strengthening initiatives.

Ugadi Job Calendar to Feature DSC Posts

Minister Lokesh announced that the State Government will release the long-awaited job calendar on the occasion of Ugadi. Importantly, the calendar will include DSC (District Selection Committee) posts, providing substantial relief to thousands of aspirants seeking teaching positions in government institutions.

The announcement is expected to generate optimism among unemployed youth and candidates preparing for teacher recruitment examinations across Andhra Pradesh.

Discussion on KGBV Schools

During the session, Amudalavalasa MLA Kuna Ravikumar and MLA Murali Mohan raised concerns regarding the functioning of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) institutions in the state.

They highlighted administrative and staffing issues, suggesting implementation of MTS positions and the appointment of regular principals in KGBV schools that currently offer education from Classes 6 to 10 along with intermediate courses.

Responding to the concerns, Minister Lokesh stated that demand for KGBV admissions in Andhra Pradesh is significantly higher compared to several other states, resulting in intense competition. He further informed the House that discussions have been initiated with the Central Government regarding salary revisions for staff, and additional measures would be taken subject to cooperation from the Centre.

Focus on Polytechnic and ITI Strengthening

Emphasizing the importance of skill-based education, the Minister underlined the role of engineering colleges, polytechnics, and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in supporting the state's growing industrial ecosystem, particularly in the Uttara Andhra region.

He announced that the renovation of Vizianagaram Government Polytechnic College will be completed within the next year under a Cluster-Based Approach, aimed at modernizing infrastructure and aligning technical education with industry requirements.
