Connecting E-11, E-13, E-5, and E-15 Roads to National Highway
AP, Amaravati: The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has unveiled a significant enhancement to the connectivity of Amaravati's road network. Initially focused on linking E-11 and E-13 roads to the Chennai-Kolkata national highway, the plan now includes extending this connectivity to two additional routes, E-5 and E-15. This expansion was approved during a recent CRDA meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The construction of E-11 and E-13 roads is set to be prioritized, with the Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) overseeing the work. The ADC will engage consultants to determine the optimal alignment for these roads. The development of E-11 and E-13 has already commenced, following a hiatus after the YSRCP administration halted capital projects. The renewed focus aims to accelerate these projects to enhance connectivity to the national highway, which is expected to be less challenging in terms of land acquisition due to the routes' proximity to hills.
Originally planned as a 7.5 km stretch from Neerukonda village to Kuragallu, the E-11 road will now be extended by an additional 4 km, reaching from the AIIMS front to the national highway. Similarly, the E-13 road, initially set to cover 7.5 km from Neerukonda village to Navaluru, will be extended by 2.5 km, connecting to the national highway behind AIIMS.
Plans are also underway for extending the E-5 and E-15 highways, with the CRDA and ADC evaluating the best routes to integrate these roads with the national highway.
