The Government of India is issuing Blue Aadhaar Card (Baal Aadhaar) exclusively through UIDAI for children under five years of age. Biometric details of children are not required for this Baal Aadhaar. Aadhaar is issued with only basic information like photo, name, address, parents name. Their card will be linked with the parent's Aadhaar number (Aadhaar Card). A child's Aadhaar card is valid till the age of five years. After providing the details like fingerprints, eye contact, and updating the Aadhaar card and again after completing 15 years of age, they have to update it again with these details.

How to apply for Baal Aadhaar...

• Parents should bring an Aadhaar card, address, child's birth certificate, and a photograph to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center.
• Take the Aadhaar Enrollment Form and fill it. Aadhaar details of parents should also be provided in it. This form can also be downloaded from the UIDAI website.
• The parents' mobile number is linked to the child's Aadhaar card. So definitely the number should be filled in the form itself.
• Then they will verify your given documents. Immediately the mobile number will receive a message that the registration process is complete.
• Don't forget to take the acknowledgment slip. It contains an Enrollment ID. With this, you can get your child's Aadhaar card application details.
• A Baal Aadhaar card will be issued in your child's name within 60 days. Issuance of a Blue Aadhaar card is completely free.
