In memory of K Vishwanath, awards are given in his name every year

Kasinadhuni Viswanath's family introduces the Kasinadhuni Viswanath Award: The family of Mr Kasinathuni Viswanath, known to all Telugus as K Viswanath, has announced that they are giving the 'Kashinathuni Viswanath Award' to budding filmmakers studying at Annapurna College of Film and Media. Commemorating the legacy of Kashinadhu Vishwanath and honouring his good relationship with Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vishwanath's son K Nagendranath along with his siblings & family announced the prestigious annual Vishwanath Award. The award was announced for two students of Annapurna College of Film and Media with the aim of inspiring them to create an impactful and meaningful film.

Two students will be felicitated for demonstrating exceptional skill in the fields of sound design and direction, reflecting the high standards set by industry leaders. Every year, this award will be given to two students of Rs.25,000/- (total fifty thousand) each. The awards will be announced during the graduation film festival and will be presented at the convocation ceremony. Annapurna College of Film and Media was founded in 2011 by Mr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao and the Akkineni family, with an aim to provide students with world-class facilities, faculty and education. For more than a decade now, the college has been at the forefront of film education, producing the next generation of filmmakers.
