Pakistan Targets Golden Temple After Operation Sindoor, Indian Army Foils Drone and Missile Attacks

Golden Temple

Following Operation Sindoor, Pakistan responded by launching drones and missiles aimed at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. However, India successfully countered these attacks.

New Delhi: Pakistan remains unable to accept the consequences of Operation Sindoor. It is widely reported that they have fired missiles and deployed drones targeting Indian territory, carrying out provocative acts. According to Major General Kartik C Seshadri, the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, was one of the targets after the operation, but these attacks were effectively thwarted.

The Indian Army had anticipated retaliatory strikes from Pakistan following the operation. Such actions were expected to include provocations against both military installations and civilian or religious sites. “Pakistan’s intentions were unclear, but the Golden Temple was a probable target. We enhanced security measures in advance, fully prepared for any threat. Our Army Air Defence personnel successfully intercepted all incoming drones and missiles, ensuring that not even a single projectile reached the Golden Temple,” the Major General stated.

It’s important to highlight that Operation Sindoor involved a major offensive by the Indian Army against terror camps within Pakistan, resulting in the elimination of over 100 terrorists. In response, Pakistan launched a large number of drones and missiles toward India. Indian air defense systems such as the S-400 and Akash played a crucial role in intercepting these threats. The Western Command released footage showing fragments of the intercepted Pakistani drones and missiles scattered after being destroyed. These clips have been widely circulated on social media.
