PM Modi Hands Over 61,000 Job Appointment Letters During 18th Rozgar Mela

New Delhi, Delhi, India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed appointment letters to 61,000 newly recruited candidates during the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela, reaffirming the government’s commitment to employment generation.

Out of the total appointments, around 49,200 recruits were inducted into the Ministry of Home Affairs and various paramilitary forces. The Prime Minister virtually handed over the appointment letters to new central government employees through video conferencing from 45 locations across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the increasing participation of women in security forces, stating that a significant number of women constables are being recruited due to facilitation measures implemented over the past 11 years. He noted that women personnel of the Border Security Force are currently deployed at the Zero Line along the borders.

The Prime Minister also pointed out that, for the first time, a woman Assistant Commandant will lead a male contingent of the Central Reserve Police Force during the Republic Day parade, marking a milestone in gender representation within the armed forces.

He described the Rozgar Mela as a clear demonstration of the government’s resolve to provide meaningful employment opportunities to the youth. So far, more than 11 lakh appointment letters have been issued through Rozgar Melas across the country.

Appointments under the initiative span multiple ministries and departments, including Home Affairs, Health, Financial Services, Higher Education, and others. Youth from different parts of the country participated in the event and received their appointment letters.
