Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, India: Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) president and popular actor Vijay is scheduled to hold a roadshow in Puducherry on December 5. Party officials have submitted a request to the local authorities seeking approval for the event.

Earlier, a tragic stampede at a rally in Karur, attended by Vijay, claimed the lives of 41 people. Following this incident, Vijay had temporarily paused his campaign rallies.

Now, with preparations underway for the upcoming assembly elections, Vijay plans to resume his campaign. TVK leaders in Puducherry have applied to the state police for permission to host the actor at locations including Uppalam and the Sonampalayam water tank area.
