Union Home Ministry Approves FCRA Registration for Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust

Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust Receives Approval for Foreign Donations

Hyderabad, Telangana, India: The Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT) has received a major boost from the Union Home Ministry. The trust, which has been operating an eye bank and a blood bank for the past 27 years, can now officially accept donations from abroad after being approved for registration under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).

Officials confirmed that with this approval, the trust is now eligible to receive contributions from international donors. Recently, amendments were made in the FCRA rules, requiring organizations to obtain the ministry's clearance before accepting foreign funds. The Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust applied for this approval, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has granted the necessary clearance.
