According to party sources, Vijay has been consulting with TVK’s general secretary Bussy Anand and other senior leaders regarding the visit.

CHENNAI: The president of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), Vijay, is ready to restart his tour of the state. The journey is scheduled to begin next week. Sources indicate that he has been discussing the arrangements with party general secretary Bussy Anand and senior officials. Vijay had previously halted his statewide visits after a tragic stampede at a rally in Karur on July 27, which claimed 41 lives.

Now, with safety measures in place, Vijay is preparing to continue the tour. The detailed itinerary is expected to be announced within the next couple of days. The TVK leader has instructed party officials to ensure the safety of attendees, particularly avoiding traditional road shows.

Reports suggest that Vijay prefers conducting meetings in large, open spaces. Sources also mentioned plans for him to travel from Chennai to the event venues by helicopter. A Bengaluru-based company has been contracted for these arrangements. The party is finalizing a strategy to maintain its campaign schedule without causing disruptions to pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
