Vivek Ramaswamy Wins Ohio Republican Governor Primary, Trump Congratulates

Columbus, Ohio, USA: Indian-origin Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy has once again drawn national attention in American politics after securing a decisive victory in the Republican primary for the Ohio governor’s race. The biotech entrepreneur defeated businessman KC Puch by a huge margin in Tuesday’s primary election, strengthening his position ahead of the crucial November polls.

Ramaswamy will now face Democratic candidate Amy Acton, who received unanimous support from the Democratic Party for the governor’s race. The upcoming election is already generating major political interest across the United States.

Following his victory, Ramaswamy thanked supporters and emphasized that the real challenge lies ahead in November. He said the primary win was only the beginning of a much larger political journey.

US President Donald Trump congratulated Ramaswamy through social media, describing him as intelligent, patriotic, and capable of becoming Ohio’s next governor. Trump also assured him of complete support in the upcoming election battle.

Conservative activist Laura Loomer called the victory a major achievement and said it was a strong response to critics who had attempted to undermine him politically.

Ramaswamy gained nationwide recognition during his 2024 presidential campaign before later extending strategic support to Trump. During the Republican primary campaign, he focused much of his criticism on Democrat candidate Amy Acton.

Acton, meanwhile, is widely recognized for her leadership role in managing Ohio’s response during the COVID-19 pandemic. With current Governor Mike DeWine completing his term and staying out of the race, political analysts believe the November contest between Ramaswamy and Acton could become one of the most closely watched state elections in the country.
