PM Modi’s Bihar-Odisha Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit several states on Friday, including a two-day trip to Bihar. He will also travel to Odisha, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of development projects totaling more than ₹18,600 crore.

In Bihar, Modi will flag off the state’s first-ever locomotive export to Guinea, West Africa. This locomotive was built at the Marhaura plant in the Saran district, a facility earlier dedicated to Indian Railways. This will be the plant’s maiden export, representing a key achievement under the "Make in India, Make for the World" initiative.

During his visit to Siwan, Bihar, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Vaishali-Deoria rail line, a project worth over ₹400 crore. He will also launch the Vande Bharat Express that will run between Pataliputra and Gorakhpur, passing through Muzaffarpur and Bettiah.

Moreover, Modi will unveil six sewage treatment plants with a combined value of more than ₹1,800 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone for water and sanitation projects in multiple towns across Bihar, which collectively amount to ₹3,000 crore.

In Odisha, the Prime Minister will take part in a ceremony marking the first anniversary of the BJP-led state government. During this event, a vision document outlining the state's future development plans will be officially released.
