21 percent of Indians in The population of Kuwait

By the end of 2023, the number of Indians in Kuwait has increased to 1,000,726. This is the highest level since the end of 2019. Kuwaitis 32%, India 21%, Egypt 13%, Bangladesh 6%, Philippines 5% of the total population in Kuwait.

  Earlier, Indians constituted the largest expatriate population in Kuwait with 68.3 percent of the total population of Kuwait being expatriates. According to the Public Authority for Civil Information Statistics, Kuwait is 21 percent Indian.

The second largest expatriate community in Kuwait is Egyptian. Egyptians in Kuwait make up 13 percent of the population. But the number of Egyptian community decreased from 655,234 in 2022 to 644,442 in 2023. In 2019, the number was 696,082. Meanwhile, the number of Bangladeshis increased from 256,849 in 2022 to 274,794 in 2023. Bangladeshis constitute six percent of the total population of Kuwait.

Filipinos are the fifth largest community in Kuwait. This is five percent of the total population. But after last year's release of Filipino, Daman, their number dropped from 274,777 in 2022 to 267,259 in 2023.

Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria (3 percent each), Nepal, Pakistan (2 percent each) other states of Kuwait's diaspora? Indians make up 30 percent of the total workforce in Kuwait.

Kuwaitis and Egyptians (16 percent each), Bangladeshis and Filipinos (nine percent each). Indians make up the largest number of migrant workers (35 per cent), followed by Egyptians (19 per cent), Bangladeshis (11 per cent), Filipinos (10 per cent) and Sri Lankans (six per cent).
