AIADMK Candidate List 2026: 127 Names Announced for Tamil Nadu Elections

AIADMK Candidate List 2026 Announcement
CHENNAI: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Friday unveiled its second list of candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, announcing 127 names.
Earlier, the party had released its first list comprising 23 candidates. With the latest announcement, the total number of candidates declared so far has risen to 150. The newly released list features several senior leaders, former ministers, and sitting MLAs.
Among the candidates named are B.V. Ramana from Tiruvallur, V. Jayaraman from Pollachi, Maragadam Kumaravel from Madurantakam, V. Satyanarayana from Kumbakonam, P. Balaraman from Penneri, K. Tiruttani from Tiruttani, V. Murthy from Madhavaram, K. Kuppan from Thiruvottiyur, and M. Raja alias K. Rajendran from Chengalpattu.
NDA Seat-Sharing Arrangement
Under the seat-sharing agreement within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), AIADMK will contest 169 seats. Party general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami expressed confidence that the alliance would secure victory in 210 constituencies.
As per the arrangement:
- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 27 seats
- Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), led by Anbumani Ramadoss, will contest 18 seats
- Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), led by T. T. V. Dhinakaran, will contest 11 seats
- Other alliance partners, including Tamil Manila Congress, IJK, PBK, PNK, TMMK, and SIFB, will contest using either the AIADMK or BJP symbols.
The 243-member Tamil Nadu Assembly will go to polls in a single phase on April 23, with vote counting scheduled for May 4.
