Amit Shah Praises Chhattisgarh's Efforts Against Maoism

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Chhattisgarh government for its strong actions against Maoism in the state. During his visit to Jagdalpur, Shah highlighted the successful collaboration between the state government and central agencies in combating the Maoist threat.

Shah also interacted with surrendered Maoists and their families, offering reassurance and emphasizing the government's commitment to rehabilitation. He urged a collective effort to eliminate Maoism, noting the significant decline in Maoist activities over the past year.

"With joint efforts, we will achieve the complete elimination of Maoism by March 31, 2026," Shah asserted. He also praised the leadership of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, and the state's police forces for their tireless work.

Shah acknowledged the government's broader initiatives, including providing housing and livelihood support to surrendered Maoists. He mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had approved 15,000 homes for these families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, along with provisions to help them earn a living.

"Maoists have caused immense harm to society. We are committed to the empowerment and development of those affected by Maoism, especially the youth who have left violence behind," Shah said on social media.
