Anmol Bishnoi deportation news
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India: The United States has deported Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, clearing the way for India to initiate his extradition. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security confirmed on November 18 that Anmol was officially expelled from the country. He is one of the key suspects in the firing incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence and is also linked to several other major criminal cases.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s criminal network operates not only across India but also in countries like Canada. Anmol, considered a crucial member of this network, has been named in multiple serious cases, including the high-profile murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui and various extortion and threat-related crimes. With his removal from the U.S., Indian authorities are preparing to take custody of him.
Officials stated that after completing all formal procedures, Anmol will be handed over to Indian investigative agencies. The U.S. Homeland Security Department also confirmed sending official communication to NCP MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of Baba Siddiqui, regarding the deportation.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had earlier announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to Anmol’s capture. He is wanted in multiple 2022 cases, and the Mumbai Police have revealed that he was in direct contact with the shooters involved in Baba Siddiqui’s murder. In April this year, Anmol also publicly took responsibility on social media for the attack outside Salman Khan’s home.
Despite living abroad, Anmol is alleged to have continued planning criminal activities in India. He was detained by U.S. immigration authorities in February 2025 after Indian agencies had been seeking his return for a long time.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Bishnoi himself remains behind bars in Sabarmati Jail, Gujarat, yet investigations suggest he continues to command his criminal group remotely. The gang is associated with various illegal activities, including kidnapping, murder, extortion, and smuggling of weapons and narcotics, both within India and internationally.
